Move Your Body…Shake it Shake it! December 12, 2010

Hey y’all! I missed you oodles yesterday. It was a fun/crazy/busy day, so I didn’t make it to the computer. So, here goes…

I had to leave my house by 7 a.m. to make it to the Y for my Zumba training! The night before I made a yogurt bowl in an almost empty Naturally More jar. There’s something so exciting about YIAJ (yogurt in a jar). I had a little more than 2 Tbsp left, so I left some extra in the bottom for another YIAJ tomorrow morning because I’ll be eating in the car. By the way, it’s difficult to eat YIAJ while driving hehe. I’m sure that anyone that pulled up beside me were like “what is that girl doing?!” hehe

In the YIAJ:

  • Naturally More (duh!)
  • greek yogurt
  • 1/2 sliced banana
  • blueberries
  • pomegranate arils
  • crumbled “Everything but the Kitchen Sink” muffin

aaaaand some coffee ;). The balance of strong coffee with sweet YIAJ is so perfect for the morning.

My training was a BLAST! We had the prettiest, sweetest Zumba Education Specialist. She taught a bangin’ master class! I already feel like I’ve known her forever. What a cutie!

I’ve been trying to get signed up for a training for a while, so it was wonderful to finally get my license. We had about 50 people of all different sizes and shape. We even had a 73-year-old lady and another lady who was training to take Zumba “down range”…she’s beign deployed to Iraq and wants to teach on the base. We have a beautiful time of sharing about how Zumba has affected and changed different people’s lives. It was so encouraging to hear all the weight loss stories and stories of overcoming depression, type 2 diabetes, back aches, etc. Zumba is for everyone. Here’s my great/crazy/fun class…

I start teaching this week! WOOHOO!!! If you’re ever in the Fuquay-Varina area, come check out my class! Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

I wanted to take pictures throughout the day, but we did not stop at all. I did manage to get a lunch pictures.

My lunchbox…

My eats for the day…

Lunch:

  • a sandwich of 2 pieces of cinnamon raisin Ezekiel bread, half a smashed banana, 1 Tbsp Naturally More, sprinkle of cinnamon
  • carrots and hummus
  • a few pieces of sliced Fuji apple

Snack:

  • a few pieces of sliced Fuji apple
  • chocolate chip brownie Larabar

After training, I had a Christmas party at some friends’ house. I started with a glass of white wine.

Some yummy veggies and Trader Joe’s Roasted Red Pepper hummus.

Then I did all that again 😉 I was hungry!!!! When I got home, my belly was talking to me again, so I went with…ta dahhhhh!

Banana split cake and some heated soy milk.

Have a great day, y’all! I’ll have more fun adventures for your lata, gators! Who’s ready for some football?!
